• About Team Reed Foundation

    Our Story

    The Team Reed Foundation is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization dedicated to changing lives through working with local and national communities to have a meaningful impact. The Team Reed Foundation currently works with the Great Houston Community Foundation (GHFC) to help donate time and funds to Houston communities and its residents. The Foundation was originally created by professional golfer Patrick Reed, and his wife, Justine Reed in an effort to empower youth and strengthen the community at large. They are driven to give back to various outlets throughout the local and national community.

    What We Do

    The Foundation consistently donates to St. Benedict's Homeless Shelter in Owensboro, Kentucky, the Ronald McDonald Foundation, Fischer House, Duke Center of Cancer Research, and the American Junior Golf Association, The Team Reed Foundation is currently focusing on smaller charities to change people's lives. Team Reed hopes to build this foundation to help serve people and give back to those in need locally, nationally, and worldwide.


    In May 2019, the Team Reed Foundation and the Southern Texas PGA Foundation teamed up to create the Patrick Reed Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes exceptional graduating high school seniors that show promise as a golf and student. The scholarship is worth $10,000 that the recipient can use towards their education.

  • About Patrick Reed

    Hailing from Houston, Texas, Patrick Reed is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and the European Tour. With his win at the 2015 Hyundai Tournament of Champions, Reed became one of just four players in the last 20 years to win four PGA TOUR events by the age of 25, joining Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy. His four career victories are the most by any player on TOUR under the age of 25.


    In 2014, Reed won the WGC-Cadillac Championship, replacing Woods as the youngest-ever winner of a World Golf Championship. The victory at Trump National Doral marked Reed’s third PGA TOUR win in a seven-month span, including the 2013 Wyndham Championship and the 2014 Humana Challenge. At Humana, Reed set the PGA Tour record for most strokes under par after 54 holes after three consecutive rounds of 63 to start the tournament. In September of 2014, Reed made his impassioned debut on the U.S. Ryder Cup Team, amassing a 3-0-1 record.


    On August 28, 2016, Patrick Reed won his first FedEx Cup Playoff event, The Barclays played at Bethpage Black. This win marked his fifth victory on the PGA Tour and his first FedEx Cup event win. The victory automatically qualified Patrick for the 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup team. On April 8, 2018, Patrick Reed won the Masters Tournament, marking his sixth PGA Tour victory and his first Master’s victory.


    Most recently, Patrick Reed found success at the 2019 Northern Trust at National Harbor in New Jersey, where he won the championship by one stroke.
